Growing up in such a bustling household meant that life was vibrant and full of laughter, but it also meant that Roxi learned early on the importance of family and the bonds that tied them together. The Viera traditions were woven into their lives, and from a young age, Roxi displayed exceptional talent as a Dancer, captivating her siblings with her graceful movements and magical abilities. However, as the threat of the Garlean Empire loomed closer, a sense of foreboding crept into Roxi's heart. She could feel the danger approaching and feared for her family's safety. Despite her warnings, her parents, along with her siblings, believed in the strength of their home and the magic of the forest. They dismissed her concerns, confident that they could withstand any threat together.Desperate to protect her family, Roxi made the heart-wrenching decision to leave the forest in search of allies who could help defend her home. She believed that by finding support, she could return and save her family from the impending doom. The Tragedy:
While Roxi traveled far and wide, gathering strength and allies, the Garlean Empire launched a devastating attack on Golmore. The Viera were caught off guard, and despite their skills and magic, they fell under the Empire’s relentless assault. Roxi’s large family, which had always been her support system, was shattered in a single night. When she returned, the once-vibrant village lay in ruins. The laughter of her twelve siblings was replaced by silence, and the home she had cherished was a graveyard of memories. Roxi was consumed by guilt, believing she had failed her family by leaving. The weight of her loss was unbearable; each sibling represented a piece of her heart that was now gone.Dance and Photography:
In her grief, Roxi eventually found her way to Limsa Lominsa, where she sought refuge among the arts. There, she discovered a dance troupe called the Silver Step. The troupe embraced her, allowing her to channel her sorrow into powerful performances that inspired hope in others. Dance became both a means of resistance and a way for Roxi to express the depth of her loss.Amidst the turmoil, Roxi also discovered a passion for photography. Capturing the fleeting moments of beauty around her allowed her to find solace and perspective in a chaotic world. Through her lens, she could document the stories of resilience and survival, preserving the memories of those who, like her, had lost so much. Photography became a means to honor her family, keeping their memory alive in the faces of others she encountered.A Life of Resistance:
As she traveled with the Silver Step, Roxi poured her heart into her dance and photography, using both to fight against the Garlean Empire. Each performance and photograph became a tribute to her family and a reminder of the beauty that still existed in the world despite the darkness.Years later, as the Empire's threat grew more pronounced and a new shadow loomed over Golmore, Roxi received an unexpected call to return home. The Viera elders, now acknowledging the need for unity, sought the help of exiles to defend their homeland. For Roxi, this call was both a chance for redemption and a painful confrontation with her past. She felt the weight of her family’s loss more than ever, and the opportunity to fight for her people filled her with both determination and fear.
